The Simpsons Game
The Simpsons Game is a video game based on the animated television series The Simpsons, made for the Wii, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS and PSP. Each version has an exclusive cover art. It is a third-person action game featuring an original storyline written by Tim Long, Matt Selman and Matt Warburton. The plot is self referential in nature, with the family discovering that they are forced to participate in another Simpsons video game. Similar to the show, the game pokes fun at popular culture, other video games and EA, its developer.

The PSP version of PES 2008 shares a lot in common with the existing PlayStation 2 game, with a wide range of tournaments and leagues on offer, alongside an all-new World Tour mode, wherein users are set a series of challenges as they tour the globe. As each task is successfully completed, further tests designed to show the capability of your chosen squad are unlocked. Full Edit modes have also been incorporated into PES 2008, while the data sharing aspect has been totally reworked to allow users to continue building their team while away from their home system. As such, Master League information can now be swapped between the PSP and PlayStation 2 versions, as can League, World Tour and Cup Mode data.

Bleach Heat the Soul 5 [JAP]
Bleach: Heat the Soul 5 is the new in the Heat the Soul series based on Tite Kubo’s Bleach. New features include a “Tag Action” system and a new way for releasing zanpakutō. Transformations such as bankai are now made automatically when enough reiatsu is obtained, rather than selecting it as a character before a fight. There also seems to be 3 styles of tag action: offensive, defensive and technical. There is also a game mode called Tag Master, which lets you choose 2 characters to fight with in a series of fights. The system also includes specials which use the tagged partner’s abilities.

In Warriors Orochi, the characters from Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors must team-up to wage war against this new, yet powerful force. Warriors Orochi for PSP is the first to boast the massive, seamless battlefields of the console versions — previous games in the series for handheld platforms had combat taking place on battlefields divided into smaller “cells”, but this game allows free roaming for realtime tactics and combat. The game also includes all 79 playable characters, and features 2-player co-op play via wireless (ad-hoc).

LoCo RoCo
Living peacefully on a faraway planet, the LocoRoco and their friends, the Mui Mui, help grow vegetation and look after nature, making the planet a pleasant place to be, playing and singing the days away. When the Moja Troop comes to the planet to take it over, the LocoRoco do not know how to fight against these invaders from outer space. As such, the player assumes the role of “the planet” that is capable of tilting back and forth, and bouncing the LocoRoco in the air, to defeat the Moja Troop and rescue the LocoRoco. The player will also meet many different characters along the way, some of which are unknown to the player. The player must find out how to interact with these characters, and find out what they know, while determining if they are beneficial or should be avoided as foes.

Tekken : Dark Resurrection
Dark Resurrection features over 30 characters, including Dragonuv and Lili, the two new characters that were added for the Dark Resurrection arcade update. Also making the trip over from the arcade are new stages, themselves based off the original Tekken 5 stages, but with climate and time effects as well as new background objects, totalling 19 stages. Namco has a few additions exclusively for the PSP version as well. Look forward to new game modes, including time attack, practice and mini games, while ad-Hoc wireless play allows for multplayer bouts. Namco hopes to add new items to the game, perfect for creating custom characters prior to a match.
